Concentration In my concentration I aimed to show national pride from people around the world. I wanted to use something beautiful and unique to that country, so I decided to use the countries national flowers. I would replace the faces of the people and paint the flowers of that country. In the beginning I didn't show any of the faces and just used acrylic. I didn't like the look of them and thought that I was going to have to restart my concentration, but then I started experimenting with mixed media and it started to click. I began to use different elements in pieces even adding spices to the back ground that I believed would enhance my take on the culture of the country. In the the end I even worked up to using real flowers in my pieces. From looking at my concentration I can tell that my art work has improved through this past year immensely.
